Ever since 7th grade, I've had Onychophagia. That is, I pick at the skin around my fingernails and even at the tips of my fingers. I used to use a mechanical pencil to do it, so it would be all grey and disgusting looking. I would always try to hide my hands, because well, they were just gross. Just last year, someone decided it would be funny to start calling them 'zombie hands'. Rather than being hurt, I actually thought it was funny. Since then, I can make fun of my gross fingers. I don't care what they look like, really, as long as I can draw and such. (although, it would be nice to be able to stop. They bleed sometimes and it hurts :( ) And that would be chapstick that makes my upper lip shine so.
I created this blog to help women learn to love themselves. I want everyone to quit killing themselves over trying to fit the stereotype of what the media has made us to believe is beautiful. I hope that one day whether you are a size 2 or a size 22, whether your nose sticks out more than you think it should, whether your knees have scares, whether you believe your skin is too light or too dark, i hope that you will go out into the world with your head held high. Be confident and accept your body. You only have one life and one body, wear it proudly.
What i would love from you guys are emails with pictures about any part of your body that you love and have learned to accept with a small paragraph on how you came to love it and what you love about it! i want everyone to see beautifulness! email me at thebodyrev@gmail.com! I cannot wait to see everyones pics
